Even the strongest security door won't keep people safe if it isn't correctly attached to the door frame.
Step 1: Get your tools and supplies together

e tools and parts you need for your project. Because models are different, follow the instructions and diagrams in the user guide from the manufacturer. Set out all the tools and parts for installation so that you can find them easily.

Step 2: Measure the hole and cut the Z-bar to fit
Take a measurement from the top of the door's inner frame (the header) to the bottom of the door's inner border to get the overall height of the triple locked security doors opening (the threshold). The Z bar has a door that can be attached to the metal screen door. During the installation, you should wear safety glasses and gloves. Hacksaw the Z bar to size so it can pass through the opening. First, reduce the length of the Z bar by 3/16 inch, or just enough to fit within the door frame.
Step 3: Put the security screen door in place
- To fix the door to the brick moulding:
- Use a power drill.
- Please use the screws provided by the manufacturer.
- You need to drive these screws into the hinge holes, through the Z bar, and into the moulding.
- Make sure the door is hanging straight by opening and closing it.
Step 4: Put the header in place
Put the header piece on top of the triple locked security doors made of metal. Find the holes already cut in the header to figure out where to put the screws. Match the size of the blade on your screwdriver to the size of the screws that came with the kit. Put the header in place with the screwdriver.
Step 5: Put the Expander in place
Open the door. The security screen door can be expanded by sliding the adjusting piece along its base. An expander strip prevents debris and dirt from collecting in that space. A power drill is required to secure the expander's screws. Make sure the expander will fit through the door after you open and close it again. After the expander has been put in correctly, the installation is done.
Conclusion
If these steps look hard and complicated, it might be better to call a professional security screen installers.
